Job Description – VMC Setter

Position: VMC Setter Experience: 1–3 Years Department: Production

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled VMC Setter with 1–3 years of experience in setting and operating Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in machine setup, tool setting, offset correction, and ensuring quality production while following safety and 5S standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set up VMC machines according to production requirements.

Load and verify CNC programs before production.

Perform tool setting, tool changing, and tool offset corrections.

Set workpiece zero (Work Offset) and verify machine alignment.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.

Inspect first-off and in-process components using measuring instruments.

Monitor machining operations to maintain product quality.

Troubleshoot minor machines, tooling,



and program-related issues.

Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices.

Follow safety procedures and company quality standards.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Required Skills

VMC machine setup and operation

Fanuc or Mitsubishi Control

Tool setting and offset correction

Basic G-Code and M-Code

Engineering drawing reading

GD&T; (Preferred)

Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge

Basic troubleshooting

Communication and teamwork

Qualifications

ITI – Machinist / Turner / Fitter

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
