Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mould Designer with 2–3 years of experience in plastic injection mould design. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on expertise in Siemens NX and a thorough understanding of mould design principles, tooling standards, manufacturing processes, and product development requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plastic injection moulds based on customer requirements and product specifications.
- Create 3D mould assemblies, detailed manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) using Siemens NX.
- Perform mould feasibility studies and participate in design reviews.
- Design mould components including core, cavity, sliders, lifters, cooling circuits, and ejection systems.
- Coordinate with Product Design, Tool Room, Manufacturing, and Project teams to ensure successful mould development.
- Modify and optimize existing mould designs to improve performance, productivity, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with company design standards and customer specifications.
- Support mould trials and troubleshoot tooling-related issues by providing effective design solutions.
- Maintain proper documentation of design revisions and engineering changes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens NX.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection mould design and tooling standards.
- Understanding of mould manufacturing processes and product development.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 2–3 years of experience in Plastic Injection Mould Design.
- Experience in mould optimization and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to mould manufacturing and tool room practices.
