About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with strong expertise in Australian taxation and financial compliance. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on experience in BAS, IAS, Payroll, FBT, ITR, and annual tax reporting. This role involves managing end-to-end tax obligations, preparing end of the year financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making with reliable financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, ITR and all statutory compliance reports within deadlines.
- Oversee payroll processing, superannuation and employer obligations as per Fair Work and ATO guidelines.
- Manage FBT preparation, reconciliation, and annual reporting.
- Lead annual tax compliance including tax planning and audit support.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial reporting.
- Analyse variances and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance with federal and state taxation laws.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Advise leadership/clients on tax updates, compliance and financial performance.
- Improve internal controls and accounting processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,



or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of Australian accounting and taxation experience.
- Strong knowledge of BAS, IAS, Payroll, FBT, ITR and Annual Tax Compliance.
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems.
- Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and accounting standards.
- High accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
