Mobile Engineer – Kotlin Multiplatform (iOS & Android)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Engineer with solid expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM) to build and scale cross-platform mobile applications for both Android and iOS from a shared codebase. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and native-like mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Build platform-specific UI using Jetpack Compose (Android) and SwiftUI/UIKit (iOS).
- Develop modular, scalable, and testable applications following Clean Architecture and MVVM/MVI patterns.
- Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, local databases (SQLDelight, Room), and native platform features such as camera, location, push notifications, and biometrics.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
- Collaborate with backend developers on API integration and designers for pixel-perfect UI implementation.
- Write unit, integration, and UI tests.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, App Store and Play Store releases, and monitor application performance.

Required Skills





- 8–10 years of mobile application development experience.
- Strong expertise in Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM).
- Native Android development using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Flow.
- Working knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Experience integrating Kotlin shared code with iOS.
- Hands-on experience with Ktor, SQLDelight, Koin/Kodein, and coroutine-based asynchronous programming.
- Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, MVVM/MVI, dependency injection, and reactive programming.
- Experience with Gradle, XCFrameworks, and CocoaPods integration.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or Fastlane.
- Experience publishing applications to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Compose Multiplatform.
- Knowledge of Spec-driven Development using Claude AI or similar AI development tools.
- Contributions to open-source Kotlin Multiplatform projects.
- Knowledge of Combine, Core Data, or other native iOS frameworks.
- Experience in Smart City, IoT, or Community Technology projects.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
