Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Copy Editor with 3+ years of professional experience to ensure high-quality editorial standards across scholarly, academic, or publishing content. The ideal candidate should have excellent English language skills, solid knowledge of editorial guidelines, and the ability to deliver error-free content within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Copyedit manuscripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and consistency.
- Ensure adherence to client style guides (APA, Chicago, AMA, MLA, house styles, etc.).
- Check for clarity, readability, and language accuracy without altering the author's intended meaning.
- Verify references, citations, tables, figures, abbreviations, and cross-references.
- Maintain consistency in formatting, terminology, capitalization, and editorial style.
- Identify and resolve language inconsistencies and editorial issues.
- Collaborate with production teams, proofreaders, and project managers.
- Meet quality standards and project deadlines.

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Journalism, Linguistics, Publishing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in copyediting, preferably in scholarly or STM publishing.
- Excellent command of written English, including grammar and punctuation.
- Familiarity with major editorial style guides (APA, Chicago, AMA, MLA).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in academic or scientific publishing.
- Knowledge of XML workflows is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word Track Changes and editorial tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
