About the Role
Cogniter Technologies is hiring a skilled Android Developer to join our mobile development team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK, along with a solid understanding of UI/UX principles, app performance, and backend service integration. You will be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications that deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop advanced Android applications

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement current features

- Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

- Integrate backend services using APIs and external data sources

- Implement design architectures (MVVM, MVC, MVP) for client-side development

- Manage app components including fragments and XML layouts

- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance and reliability

- Work with Bluetooth device communication via Android SDK

- Implement push notifications and integrate cloud messaging APIs

- Research and adopt new tools, frameworks,



and technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Android development

- Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK

- Solid understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

- Experience with MVVM, MVC, and MVP architectures

- Strong knowledge of fragments and Android XML layouts

- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth communication using Android SDK

- Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications

- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries

- Knowledge of Android Jetpack components

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
