Job Summary:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring safety compliance on-site, with a specific focus on façade works (e.g., cladding, curtain walls, glazing, external scaffolding). This role is crucial in preventing workplace accidents, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring that all site operations comply with local and international health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor daily site activities related to façade work and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and daily safety briefings focused on façade-related risks.
- Inspect scaffolding, work-at-height systems, suspended platforms, and access equipment for safety compliance.
- Enforce permit-to-work systems for high-risk façade activities (e.g., rope access, MEWP operations).
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures specific to façade works.
- Conduct regular site safety audits and inspections, especially around façade zones.
- Report unsafe practices, near misses, and incidents, and assist with incident investigations.
- Liaise with subcontractors and ensure their adherence to HSE requirements.




- Maintain accurate safety records including daily reports, inspection logs, and incident documentation.
- Ensure workers use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) correctly and consistently.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure proper fall rescue procedures are in place.
- Keep updated with local HSE laws and ensure site practices are compliant.

Requirements:

- Qualification: Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Certifications: NEBOSH IGC / OSHA / IOSH / Work at Height / Scaffolding Awareness (preferred).
- Experience: 2–5 years in a similar role, with proven experience in façade or high-rise construction projects.
- Knowledge of façade installation processes, materials, and associated hazards.
- Robust understanding of fall protection systems and working-at-height regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage with multi-national workforce.
- Ability to write transparent reports and maintain documentation.
