- In-depth knowledge of turbine assembly processes (HP, IP, LP turbines, rotors, casings, diaphragms).
- Proficiency in interpretation of assembly drawings, tolerances, and engineering specifications.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools (dial gauges, micrometers, laser alignment, torque tools).
- Understanding of critical fits, shrink fits, mandrel handling, and interference fits in turbine assembly.
- Knowledge of hydraulic tightening, torqueing, and bolt tensioning procedures.
- Awareness of special processes in assembly (heating, cooling, oil flushing, rotor balancing, barring gear trials).
- Familiarity with shop safety practices for heavy components and crane operations.
- Knowledge of welding, NDT, and quality standards relevant to turbine assembly.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting assembly issues and resolving dimensional deviations.
- Digitalization, Lean manufacturing
- Strong team management and ability to lead supervisors and technicians.
- Effective coordination and collaboration with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Projects).
- Problem-solving and decision-making under time and cost constraints.
- High level of accountability for project milestones, quality, and safety.
- Analytical mindset for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage customer expectations and communicate technical updates clearly.
- Adaptability to handle changes in project schedules and priorities.
