Company overview:
PEP is a dynamic personal care company that proudly houses two cutting-edge brands – mCaffeine & Hyphen. With a passion for creating high-performance, conscious, and consumer-loved products, we are redefining the way personal care is experienced. While mCaffeine is India's first caffeinated personal care brand, loved for its energizing and playful approach, Hyphen is built on the philosophy of simplifying skincare through science-backed formulations. Together, our brands reflect PEP's mission to deliver quality, creativity, and care to millions of consumers. We believe in Confidence over all skin & body biases.

About the Role:
As HRBP, you'll be the go-to people partner for one or more business functions. You'll sit close to the business, understand its unique rhythms - from launch cycles to inventory pressures to performance marketing sprints and translate that into sharp, pragmatic HR solutions. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building processes from scratch as much as running them.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to function heads and managers on all people matters - org design, workforce planning, performance, and employee relations
- Attend business reviews to stay close to goals, challenges, and headcount needs
- Translate business priorities into people plans
Talent Lifecycle
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to define role requirements and hiring plans for assigned functions Drive onboarding experience to ensure new hires ramp up quickly in a fast-paced D2C environment
- Own performance management cycles - goal-setting, mid-year/annual reviews, calibration
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Be the first point of contact for employee concerns; resolve issues fairly and in line with policy
- Run pulse checks, skip-levels, and stay interviews to gauge engagement, especially given lean team structures
- Design and execute engagement initiatives suited to a young, high-energy, D2C workforce
People Data & Programs
- Track and analyze people metrics (attrition, engagement, span of control) and flag risks early
- Support compensation benchmarking and annual comp reviews, particularly relevant given rapid market movement in D2C/e-commerce talent
- Drive HR programs - rewards & recognition, L&D;, DEI, tailored to business needs
Culture & Change
- Champion culture and values as the company scales from startup to structured organization Support change management during org restructuring, new function launches, or rapid team scaling
What We're Looking For:
- 3-6 years of HR experience, with at least 2+ years in an HRBP or generalist role
- Prior experience in D2C, e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or startup environments strongly preferred Comfortable operating with limited structure and building processes rather than just following them
- Strong stakeholder management skills - able to hold their own with founders, function heads, and frontline employees alike
- Data fluency - comfortable working with HR dashboards/metrics to drive decisions, not just intuition
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent preferred, not mandatory
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting hyper-growth phases
- Familiarity with HRMS tools
What You'll Get:
- Front-row seat to building people practices at a scaling D2C brand
- High ownership and access to leadership
