Design Consultant – Modular Kitchens

Job Summary

Studio Design Box is looking for an experienced Design Consultant – Modular Kitchens to join our team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, designing innovative and functional modular kitchen and wardrobe solutions, presenting design concepts, preparing quotations, and converting enquiries into confirmed orders. This role requires a customer-focused professional with strong design expertise, commercial acumen, and excellent sales skills to manage projects from consultation through successful handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet prospective clients to understand their lifestyle, functional requirements, design preferences, and project budgets.

• Design modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, walk-in wardrobes, and customized furniture solutions.

• Prepare and present 2D/3D layouts, design concepts, material selections, and finish options.

• Prepare BOQs, quotations, project cost estimates, and detailed proposals.

• Recommend suitable materials, hardware, accessories, and space-planning solutions based on client requirements.

• Convert client enquiries into confirmed orders through effective consultation, design presentations, negotiations, and follow-ups.

• Achieve assigned monthly sales targets while maintaining a high conversion ratio.

• Conduct site visits for measurements, design validation, and project discussions whenever required.

• Coordinate with production, procurement, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships from the initial consultation through project handover.

• Stay updated with the latest modular kitchen trends, materials, hardware, and design innovations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess robust design capabilities, excellent communication and negotiation skills, commercial awareness,



and the ability to independently manage the complete client journey from consultation to order closure.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 5–8 years of experience designing and selling modular kitchens, wardrobes, or customized furniture solutions.

• Proven experience independently handling client consultations, design presentations, quotations, negotiations, and order closures.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design, Cabinet Vision, AI House, Neo Foyr, or similar interior design software.

• Strong knowledge of modular furniture materials, hardware, fittings, accessories, and space planning.

• Experience preparing BOQs, quotations, cost estimates, and project documentation.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with modular kitchen companies such as Livspace, HomeLane, Design Cafe, Spacewood, Sleek International, Kitchen365, Bonito Designs, Häcker Kitchens, or similar organizations.

• Knowledge of premium hardware brands such as Hettich, Häfele, Blum, Ebco, Grass, or equivalent.

• Experience handling premium residential modular kitchen and wardrobe projects.

• Experience coordinating with production, procurement, and installation teams.
