Role Description This is a remote volunteer role for a Freelance Journalist at Path-iQ. The journalist will research developments in digital pathology and AI in healthcare, conduct interviews with experts and users, and transform complex technical topics into clear, engaging stories. Day-to-day tasks include writing news articles and feature pieces, drafting press releases, and preparing content for web and social channels.



The role may also involve collaborating with the communications team to refine story angles, maintain editorial standards, and support outreach and awareness campaigns.
Qualifications

- Solid Writing and News Writing skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics clearly and accurately.
- Experience with Research and source verification to produce well-informed, credible journalism.
- Ability to draft Press Releases that align with organizational messaging and media expectations.
- Exposure to Broadcasting or multimedia storytelling (audio, video, or live formats) is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Interest in healthcare, pathology, AI, or digital health; prior reporting in these areas is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, meet deadlines, and manage multiple assignments.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in Journalism, Communications, or related fields is advantageous.
