Our hardware team in Mundhwa, Pune covers industrial design, mechanical engineering and manufacturing under one roof. We are India's only domestic full-stack XR manufacturer, with 50,000+ devices shipped across 17+ countries.We are looking for an Industrial Designer to define how our products look and how they feel to wear. The role covers the design of the product form, comfort and fit, the selection of colours, materials and finishes, and the release of finished 3D surfaces to the engineering team for development.This is a full time, on-site role in Mundhwa, Pune for someone with 3 to 6 years of experience on products that reached production.What You'll DoDevelop the product form from initial sketches through to finished 3D surfacesEnsure the product fits comfortably across a range of head and face sizes, including different eye distances, nose shapes, head widths and ear positionsCreate smooth, high quality outer surfaces in Creo and release these files to the engineering teamSelect colours, materials, textures and finishes,



and maintain a set of approved reference samplesReview and approve colour and finish samples with suppliers and resolve issues that ariseProduce 3D printed models and mock-ups to evaluate how the design looks and feels in useSupport packaging design and product graphics as requiredTake part in design reviews with engineering and manufacturing, and revise the design to meet production and cost requirementsMaintain design files and documentation for the areas under your ownershipWhat We're Looking ForA degree in industrial design, product design or a related discipline3 to 6 years of industrial design experience on products that reached productionStrong working knowledge of Creo, including surface and shape modelling. Creo is our design platform and proficiency in it is essentialThe ability to produce clean 3D surfaces suitable for engineering developmentStrong sketching ability and hands-on physical model making skillsA working understanding of plastic moulding and how it constrains form, including wall thickness, draft angles and split linesExperience specifying colours, materials and finishes and approving them with suppliersA portfolio demonstrating design development, not only finished visualsNice to HaveExperience with eyewear, watches, headphones or other products worn on the bodyExperience with AR or VR productsExperience conducting fit or body measurement studiesRendering and visualisation capabilityExperience with Rhino or AliasHiring ProcessPortfolio screening, a call with the hiring manager, then a design discussion and exercise.
