Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler with strong expertise in ERwin, data modeling techniques (logical and physical), and OLTP/OLAP systems. The ideal candidate will serve as a Solution Architect for Data Modeling, collaborating with product and engineering teams to define robust, scalable, and reusable data models across enterprise functions such as Sales, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and R&D.;

You will play a key role in modern data transformation initiatives including Data Lake foundation building, migrations, modern data architecture (Medallion/Kimball), and cloud-native design.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop logical and physical data models using tools like ERwin based on business requirements.

- Implement dimensional modeling techniques for analytical workloads and normalized models for OLTP systems.

- Work across OLTP and OLAP environments to support real-time and analytical data processing.

- Understand and model enterprise datasets (Sales, Procurement, Finance, SCM, R&D;, Advanced Planning) from SAP, Oracle, and other ERP sources.

- Develop scalable, reusable data models in bronze, silver, and gold layers as per Medallion architecture or Kimball EDW principles.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to translate requirements into high-quality data specifications.

- Evaluate true source systems and existing data warehouses to define optimal data grain and model structure.

- Create data dictionaries, integration diagrams,



business process maps, and data flow visualizations.

- Understand cloud-native architecture components (preferably on AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integrate data solutions with DevOps/DataOps pipelines.

- Ensure data governance, observability, and data quality standards are incorporated into model design.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and cross-functional stakeholder meetings.

- Lead or contribute to data migration, platform upgrades, and foundation building projects over multi-year transformation programs.

- Work with APIs, FTP/SFTP, and Web Services for data integration needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in data modeling, including dimensional and normalized modeling.

- Proficient in ERwin Data Modeler or equivalent tools.

- Robust understanding of OLTP/OLAP, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration patterns.

- Experience working with enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and translating business concepts into usable data structures.

- Familiar with DevOps processes, Agile methodology, and data deployment pipelines.

- Proficient in cloud data architecture principles and understanding of landing, bronze, silver, and gold zones.

- Skilled in identifying, checking, and reusing existing data assets (e.g., tables, dictionaries, schemas).

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills for cross-team collaboration.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Medallion architecture, Kimball methodology, and enterprise data lakes.

- Working knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality frameworks, and Data Observability tools.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, GCP BigQuery).

- Experience in large-scale implementations involving multiple projects or global data programs.

Education:

Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
