Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable and secure database solutions on AWS.
- Install, configure, and maintain databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Snowflake, and Elasticsearch.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, indexing, query tuning, and configurations.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and disaster recovery through regular backups and replication strategies.
- Assist in schema design, capacity planning, and application deployment support.
- Develop monitoring tools and implement alert systems for database health and uptime.
- Maintain documentation for best practices, procedures, and incident response.
- Stay current with trends in database technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) databases.




- Solid understanding of database fundamentals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and working with the command line.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, Ruby, or similar languages.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to AWS database services such as RDS, DynamoDB, etc.
- Familiarity with data warehouse platforms like Snowflake or Redshift.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Understanding of Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
