Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing product engineering team and drive the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise software products. This role requires a strong technical leader who can mentor engineers, own architectural decisions, and collaborate across Product, QA, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to build robust, reliable, and high-performing applications.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in product engineering, people management, system design, and modern software architecture, while remaining hands-on with technology and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance software products.
- Drive technical decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, reliability, and performance.
- Manage and mentor a team of 5–8 software engineers, providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
- Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
- Partner closely with Product Management to define technical solutions aligned with business objectives and product roadmaps.
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and production releases.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality, defect-free product releases.
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot critical issues, and continuously improve system performance and reliability.
- Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting modern technologies and architectural patterns.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture decisions, engineering roadmaps, and development standards.





Required Skills & Experience

- 8–12 years of software development experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a product-based company.
- At least 2 years of experience as an Engineering Manager, managing teams of 5–8 engineers.
- Robust hands-on experience with one or more backend technologies:
- C# / .NET (Preferred)
- Java
- Node.js
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React.js, TypeScript, Angular, or JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Proven experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems with strong understanding of non-functional requirements.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading engineering teams through complete product development lifecycles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
