As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of custom applications tailored to meet project requirements. This role serves as the main liaison for project stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across various teams. The position requires overseeing the progress of application development, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and ensuring that solutions align with business objectives. The engineer actively participates in planning sessions and collaborates with cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality software products within established timelines.

- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and support their professional growth.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards throughout the development lifecycle.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Experience in developing and optimizing custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements within the SAP environment.
- Strong knowledge of database concepts and ability to write effective queries for HANA databases.
- Familiarity with debugging and performance tuning of ABAP programs to ensure optimal system performance.
- Ability to work with various SAP modules and integrate ABAP solutions effectively.
- Experience in using SAP development tools and methodologies to deliver scalable and maintainable code.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
