Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Structural Analysis Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures. The candidate will be responsible for performing structural calculations, developing analytical models, and preparing design documentation, while coordinating with Tekla modeling, piping, civil, and project teams to ensure safe, code-compliant, and constructible structural designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures such as pipe racks, skid structures, equipment structures, platforms, staircases, pre-engineered buildings, and technological structures.

• Develop and analyze 3D analytical models using STAAD.Pro.

• Design structural members and connections in accordance with AISC, IS 800, Eurocode, or applicable client/international design codes.

• Carry out design of foundations, including isolated, combined, and pile foundations, for equipment and structural loads.

• Compute and apply loads including dead, live, wind, seismic, thermal, piping, and equipment loads as per project design basis and applicable codes (ASCE 7, IS 875, UBC, or equivalent).

• Prepare structural design calculations, design basis reports, and load data sheets for review and approval.

• Review vendor and equipment data sheets to determine structural loading requirements and interface points.

• Coordinate with the Tekla modeling team to ensure structural design intent, member sizes,



and connection details are accurately reflected in fabrication models and drawings.

• Interface with piping, civil, and instrumentation disciplines to resolve structural support and layout conflicts.

• Check and validate structural steel take-offs, GA drawings, and connection design drawings prepared by the detailing team.

• Prepare and respond to Technical Queries (TQs) and participate in design review meetings, HAZOP, and 3D model reviews.

• Support site teams during construction by resolving structural design queries and reviewing as-built deviations.

• Maintain calculation registers, design basis documents, and revision tracking in line with project quality procedures.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro.

• Robust understanding of structural steel and concrete design principles, load combinations, and connection design.

• Working knowledge of design codes such as AISC, IS 800/456, ASCE 7, IS 875, or Eurocode as applicable to the project.

• Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, P&IDs;, equipment layouts, and Tekla/BIM models for coordination.

• Familiarity with foundation design principles, including bearing capacity and pile design concepts.

• Exposure to Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or BIM coordination tools is an advantage.

• Good analytical, documentation, and cross-discipline coordination skills.

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Preferred Industry

Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Infrastructure, and Industrial/EPC projects.
