Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

· Review the preparation and booking of daily/monthly entries (Accrual, Provisions, etc.)

· Enforce controls to ensure data quality in ledgers.

· Monitor reconciliation between source and general ledger and identify gaps.

· Review daily transactional account activity/daily ledgers for posting errors and back-value transactions

· Review ledgers and perform account and transaction analysis for a set of entities.

· Analyze, reconcile, and review all accounts under their responsibility by performing a variance analysis of corresponding revenue/balance sheet items, highlighting trends, and following up on questions/ concerns

· Perform reconciliation between various Management accounting systems to substantiate balances and breaks pertaining to both expenses and revenues.

· Post monthly entries (accruals/prepayments) & Flash/Actuals adjustments in management accounting system for correct management reporting, as applicable

· Assist in monthly system parameters checking; update and maintain referential (i.e. mapping tables) for which the team is responsible

· Reallocation of costs to relevant business lines

· Create schedules for Fixed Income disclosures and reporting as per IFRS13

· Prepares month-end substantiation and sign off balances along with relevant documentation for multiple legal entities.

· Assists with audit requests from External Audit, Regulators and internal control teams.

· Follow up on the outstanding issues and escalate to the correct contact and work towards resolution.

· Run control book daily and ensure the data quality is maintained in OFS ledger.

· Transform the accounting data into management accounting (profitability and cost allocation by Business Line) following the MARP (Management Accounting Rules and Principles)

· Understanding of accounting schema, reconciliation of intercompany process with a proper follow-up and respective documentation.

· To support countries in preparation and reporting of Intercompany transactions (Transfer pricing local files)

· Work on Data quality and related adhocs

· Performs reporting, analysis, and related activities for multiple legal entities from various activities including Global Market & Global banking activities, financing activities.

- Contribute to the performance of 2nd level accounting controls on a list of key areas defined by the BNP Paribas Standard Accounting Control Group Plan, including deal and position reconciliations, nostro reconciliations, manual entries, dormant accounts, risk rating and provisioning, intercompany reconciliation, internal deals, FX sell-down etc.
- Identifysystem / control deficiencies and proposesolutionto improve the accounting control environment
- Monitor account and 1st level control sign-off and escalate problemsidentified.
- Contribute to the preparation of the Entity Control Reports that provides Chief Financial Officers with an overview of accounting controloutcomeon a monthly basis.
- Monitor Accounting Control outcomes through key performance and key risk indicators
- Prepareadhoc control memo upon request when an issue is identified.




- Ensurethe goodcoordination with the Regional Financial Reporting team,in particular wheneveran accounting issue needs to be addressed
- Report incidents and accounting issues.

Financial Synthesis

- Preparation of the financial statements & reporting schedules and sent quarterly to the Head Office both under IFRS & FGAAP

- Follow controls and analysis as defined by the BNP Paribas Standard Accounting Control Plan.

- Perform inter-company transactions reconciliation and solve Interco breaks.

- Participate to Finance Projects linked to Head Office Financial Reporting

- Contribute to the elimination of manual reclassifications and warnings/missing items and work towards solving at source.

Performance Steering

- Measure and ensure the quality of the segmented financial data required for the P&L; of the entities in the scope in compliance with accounting standards, carry calculation, validation of Business Line allocation in coordination with performance managers by monitoring revenues, direct and allocated costs

-Feeding of the Performance Steering (PS) tools of the segmented information on P&L;, controlling consistency with the Financial statements reporting and ensuring the accuracy of the allocation processes

-Control alignment between statutory/management accounting and bridge P&L; between local GAAP/IFRS

-Extensive analysis of Net Banking Income, Costs, Cost of Risk by business line, nature, & country for understanding the key drives by closely coordinating with the management accounting, business and other performance steering teams.

-Business partnering with key stakeholders on a regular basis & monthly review with senior management to discuss business performance

-Managing ad hoc reporting needs along with standard deliverables for senior management. Reporting for Flash & Actuals (monthly), Forecasting (quarterly) and Budgeting (annual)

-Promoting/implementation/contribution to projects (new systems, procedures, standards/regulations) initiated by Regions/Business Lines/Functions on management reporting scope

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Sound knowledge of Banking, CIB Products/Service offerings

Basic knowledge of financial and management accounting concepts

Understanding of IFRS standards

Good working knowledge of MS Excel (Formulae, pivot tables, charts, graphs, power query, etc.)

Positive working knowledge of MS Power Point

Excellent PC skills, ability to learn new systems quickly
