Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cricket Coach role based at Indus International School Bangalore in Bengaluru. The Cricket Coach will plan and conduct regular practice sessions, focusing on skill development, fitness, game awareness, and sportsmanship for students across different age groups. The role includes designing training drills, preparing teams for school and inter-school tournaments, and monitoring player performance and progress. The coach will ensure safety standards, manage equipment, collaborate with academic and sports staff, and communicate with parents and guardians when needed. The position also involves promoting a positive sporting culture aligned with the school's holistic education philosophy.
Qualifications





- Solid cricket-specific expertise, including solid knowledge of the game's rules, techniques, and strategies, and proven experience in Cricket and Cricket Coaching.
- Demonstrated Coaching and Training skills, with the ability to design age-appropriate practice plans and progressively develop individual and team performance.
- Effective Communication skills to engage students, coordinate with staff, and interact professionally with parents and guardians.
- Relevant coaching certifications or formal training in sports coaching, preferably in cricket; experience coaching in school or youth environments is an advantage.
- Ability to manage groups safely on the field, maintain discipline positively, and foster teamwork, respect, and resilience among students.
- Physical fitness sufficient to demonstrate techniques and participate in training activities, and familiarity with basic injury prevention practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional coaching experience will be considered.
- Willingness to work within the school's schedule, including early morning or after-school sessions, and commitment to the holistic development of learners.
