Job Title: Senior Software Engineer I
Role Overview:
The Compliance Operations specialist supports day-to-day operations for global privacy and regulatory processes, ensuring requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and within regulatory deadlines.
This role partners with the Production support team, CEC, vendor teams, and internal stakeholders to monitor privacy workflows, triage failures, support onboarding activities, and maintain reliable operational coverage for critical privacy processes.
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer with experience in privacy, compliance, data operations,
or application operations functions in a cloud-based enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Privacy:
- Monitor privacy processes and follow up with target systems or datasets that have missed service-level agreements.
- Partner with the L3 team to identify failures, assist with triage, and coordinate follow-up actions to ensure regulatory deadlines for Individual Rights requests are met.
- Respond to CEC inquiries when needed to correct requests that have failed on the functional end, including missing data, formatting issues, or other request-quality concerns.
- Assist with onboarding target systems to privacy processes (3rd-party notification, customer data filtering, individual right platform).
- Partner with vendors to resolve data delivery failures
- Research into application code to troubleshoot issues.
- Serve as backup for Privacy Technology Operations leadership or team members when needed.
- Provide offshore monitoring support to enable extended or 24-hour coverage for privacy processes.
Compliance:
- Create documentation evidence to support regulatory reporting (e.g., SOX, SCOUT) on a recurring frequency.
- Respond to inquiries as needed from the Audit team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document issues, coordinate follow-ups, and drive timely resolution.
- Cloud and Data Platforms: Hands-on knowledge of AWS services including S3, EMR, EMR Serverless, Lambda, SNS, and SQS; Snowflake.
- Data Processing and Querying:
PySpark and Amazon Athena.
- Workflow Orchestration and Integration: Apache Airflow and Apache NiFi.
- Automation and RPA: Blue Prism and robotic process automation monitoring.
- Data Security and Privacy: Understanding of Tokenization, secure data handling, privacy compliance frameworks, and regulatory operations.
Nice to Have / Preferred Skills:
- Experience with using Snowflake database
- Experience with Airflow workflow orchestration
- Experience with Gen AI / Agentic AI systems (LLMs, prompt engineering, AI workflows)
- Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, SQS, SNS)
- Familiarity with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Exposure to ML pipelines or data engineering workflows
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
- Undergraduate/bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
