About the Role:

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of T-Mobiles internal Workforce Management platform, with deep expertise across timekeeping, advanced scheduling, and forecasting capabilities powered by UKG Pro WFM (formerly UKG Dimensions). This is a senior full stack role requiring independent judgment to resolve complex technical challenges, drive design innovation, and deliver high-quality software solutions with a strong emphasis on testing, code quality, and architectural best practices.

The senior engineer will own and evolve Boomi integration architectures connecting UKG to enterprise systems, design and optimize APIs and data pipelines supporting forecasting and scheduling logic, and mentor engineers on patterns and practices that raise the bar for the entire team. Working closely with Product, Architecture, QA, Operations, and Partner teams, they will translate complex workforce management requirements into scalable, maintainable, and well-tested technical solutions that support reliable, secure, high-availability environments.

This role is AI-enabled: senior engineers are expected to lead by example in leveraging tools such as Claude to accelerate development, improve code quality, automate repetitive workflows, and drive innovation in workforce management capabilities. They actively champion AI-assisted development practices within the team. Success is measured by the quality and reliability of delivered solutions, technical contributions to design and architecture, mentoring effectiveness, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across the WFM platform.

What Youll Do:

- Lead the design, development, and optimization of Boomi integration flows connecting UKG Dimensions to downstream and upstream enterprise systems including HCM platforms, payroll, and ERP systems with a focus on resilience, performance, and maintainability.
- Architect and govern integration solutions using Dell Boomi AtomSphere: Connectors, Mapping Designer, Transformations, Process Routes, and scheduling; establish and enforce integration design standards for the team.
- Design and optimize UKG Reports, Dataviews, and Hyperfind configurations for operational and analytical use cases; define standards for automated export scheduling and report governance.
- Own architecture and advanced development on the UKG Pro WFM DataHub, including BigQuery data extraction pipelines, data quality frameworks, and delivery of curated datasets to BI tools downstream.
- Provide deep functional expertise on UKG Timekeeping (pay rules, work rules, overtime policies), Accruals configuration, and Advanced Scheduling; serve as the technical escalation point for complex configuration challenges.
- Lead data mapping and integration requirement definition sessions with functional teams, business analysts, and endpoint system owners; ensure alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
- Drive system testing strategy, cutover planning,



and go-live coordination with integration teams; own technical risk mitigation during critical milestones; on-site presence required as needed.
- Lead root cause analysis for complex integration failures, design and implement systemic preventive measures, and document findings to build team knowledge.
- Architect and optimize data pipelines feeding forecasting models and scheduling engines, applying advanced knowledge of relational and dimensional data structures and pipeline performance tuning.
- Design and extend RESTful APIs and backend microservices integrated with UKG Dimensions, applying patterns for real-time data exchange, event-driven architecture, and fault tolerance.
- Champion AI-enabled development practices within the team; leverage tools including Claude to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, automate workflows, and mentor others on effective AI tool usage.
- Produce and review technical documentation including architecture decision records (ADRs), API specifications, integration runbooks, and business requirement translations.
- Lead design and code reviews with a focus on scalability, testability, and long-term maintainability; set quality standards and drive adoption across the engineering team.
- Drive CI/CD pipeline improvements and cloud deployment best practices, contributing to a resilient, observable, and high-performance production environment.
- Own end-to-end troubleshooting of complex issues across the full stack from UI rendering to backend service failures, UKG Dimensions integration errors, and Boomi process failures and drive permanent resolutions.

What Youll Bring:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Technology, or related field, plus 5+ years of related work experience; or advanced degree with 3 years; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced hands-on experience with UKG Pro WFM (formerly UKG Dimensions), including complex configuration, integration architecture, and custom platform development.
- Senior-level full stack development proficiency with the ability to own end-to-end solution design across front-end frameworks, backend services, and database layers.
- Proven experience leading enterprise solution design and information architecture decisions, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and make recommendations independently.
- Strong expertise in data modeling for relational and dimensional databases, with applied experience in workforce forecasting and scheduling data architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and govern RESTful APIs and cloud-native microservices at scale.
- Solid experience with CI/CD tooling, DevOps practices, and cloud deployment environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Robust independent judgment in resolving complex technical issues and making sound design recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills,



including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence design decisions.
- Proven mentoring ability with experience coaching junior and mid-level engineers through structured knowledge sharing and code review.
- Proficiency in productivity applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
- Active practitioner in an AI-enabled development environment; skilled at applying tools like Claude to drive team-level productivity, quality, and innovation.

Required Technical Skills

- 5+ years of integration development experience with Dell Boomi AtomSphere (Atom Cloud, Molecules, AtomSphere API).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management or UKG Dimensions (WFD), including advanced configuration and integration.
- Expert proficiency in REST API, SOAP/Web Services, XML, JSON, and EDI data formats; experience governing API design standards.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and owning complex inbound/outbound interfaces between UKG and ERP, HCM, or payroll systems.
- Advanced experience with UKG Dataviews, Standard Reports, Hyperfind configuration, and automated export scheduling; ability to define reporting governance standards.
- Deep knowledge of UKG Pro WFM DataHub (BigQuery-based data warehouse on GCP), including pipeline architecture and data quality management.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for data architecture, validation, mapping verification, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and Git-based version control, including branching strategies and release management.
- Advanced proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular); ability to establish front-end architectural standards.
- Advanced proficiency in at least one back-end language (Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or similar); experience designing backend service architectures.
- Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), query optimization, and schema design.
- Proven experience with RESTful API design, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native service patterns.

Preferred Skills:

- Dell Boomi Developer Certification required; Boomi Architect Certification or UKG Integration Certification strongly preferred.
- UKG Timekeeping: Pay rules, work rules, overtime calculations, shift differentials, timecard auditing; experience defining enterprise-wide pay rule frameworks.
- UKG Accruals: Accrual profiles, carryover rules, balance adjustments, accrual grants and proration; experience governing accrual policy implementations across business units.
- UKG Scheduling: Shift templates, open shift management, coverage analysis, schedule generation policies; experience with advanced scheduling optimization.
- HCM domain expertise: Employee lifecycle, org structures, labor levels, job and pay grade hierarchies; experience translating HCM business rules into technical solutions.
- Experience with event-driven architecture patterns (Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar) for WFM data streaming use cases.
- Familiarity with observability tooling (logging, monitoring, alerting) in cloud-native WFM environments.
