Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Database Engineer (DBE) to manage and optimize our database infrastructure across relational, NoSQL, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, IaC Automation and monitoring tools, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer and maintain relational databases including PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
- Manage NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis (In-Memory).
- Support and optimize distributed databases, particularly Google Spanner.
- Implement and maintain cloud-based database solutions on GCP or other cloud platforms.
- Monitor database performance using tools like Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, and cloud provider metrics.
- Utilize MongoDB Ops Manager for operational management and automation.
- Ensure database security, backup, and recovery procedures are in place and effective.




- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, but any cloud experience is acceptable).
- Solid understanding of database architecture, backup management, and database/query optimization.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation tools, monitoring tools and cloud metrics.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):

- Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, and Spanner.
- Knowledge of MongoDB Ops Manager.
- Exposure to Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, or similar monitoring tools.
- Ability to work in a distributed and fast-paced environment.
