What you ll do at Ather:

- Preparing zero based costing for Bare PCB, Cable harness, PCBA Box builds.
- Good knowledge of electronics Electricals commodities like Cable harness, switches, Lamps, actives, passives (MOSFETs, microcontrollers, resistors, capacitors, diodes, LED s power management components etc)
- Thorough understanding of SMT,THT Cable harness manufacturing process at EMS and testing/inspection methods for PCBAs and Cable harness.
- Perform teardown and directional costing of competitor products build to spec products
- Use Should cost data to help the Design engineering team to adopt design to cost approach
- Evaluate RM Forex indexing and price increase requests from suppliers
- Assess supplier quotes and provide feedback on technical and commercial proposal in line with should cost
- Prepare Maintain BOM for all electrical electronic systems
- Keep Cost models updated based on RM, Forex Fluctuation as well electronics commodities supply chain dynamics
- Holistic view of all financial aspects of a project (Prototype costs, budgets, obsolescence costs etc)




- Maintain and grow the database for electrical electronics commodities (cables, wires, connectors, terminals, MOSFETs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, resistors, capacitors, inductors, transformers, diodes, Op amps etc)
- Develop update costing templates for all electrical electronics commodities

Here s what we are looking for:

- BE in Electronics/Electricals with 5-6 years Experience in costing, product development.
- Robust interpersonal, Negotiation and Influencing skills.
- Costing and process knowledge of electronics and relative secondary processes like Plastics injection moulding sheet metal etc
- Experience at EMS is preferred
- Shop floor experience in any of the commodities mentioned above.
- Deep understanding of the cost engineering basics and Interdependencies
- First principles thinker
