About the Team and Our Scope

In Life & Health (LH) Solutions, we build and commercialize cloud-native SaaS and PaaS products for Swiss Re's life insurance clients. With over 150 engineers across multiple countries, we deliver a portfolio of 6+ products — from well-established tools like Magnum (used by 60+ clients globally) to innovative offerings such as UW Ease. Our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes are critical to our delivery, scalability, and product success.

About the Role

We're looking for a DevOps Architect to join our technical leadership team. In this role, you'll guide product teams in building reliable, secure, and scalable CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments. You'll help define and evolve our DevOps practices, infrastructure design, and deployment standards across teams and regions.

This is a hands-on leadership role that balances architectural vision with day-to-day execution and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engage hands-on with product teams to understand tooling, practices, and standards
- Support and optimize the full software delivery lifecycle (build, test, deploy, operate)
- Lead the design and improvement of shared CI/CD infrastructure and cloud deployment strategies
- Develop and promote DevOps best practices across the organization
- Identify and implement strategic improvements, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Act as the go-to expert on DevOps architecture, Azure cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD tooling

About You

You're passionate about DevOps, cloud architecture,



and enabling others through well-designed tools and systems. You bring structure and vision to complex environments and love working in a collaborative, agile setting.

We're looking for someone with:

- 10+ years of DevOps experience, with 2+ years in an architectural or strategic role
- Robust experience in Agile environments
- Proven hands-on expertise in:
- Azure Cloud Services (AKS, App Services, Functions, etc.)
- CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
- IaC tools (Terraform, Helm, ARM templates)
- Containerization and Kubernetes (AKS)
- Automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Networking and system design from a DevOps perspective

Nice to Have:

- Security/networking knowledge (Cloudflare, EntraID, OAuth, etc.)
- Experience with DevSecOps tools (e.g., SonarQube, Invicti, Aqua)
- Programming background in Java, .NET, or Go
- Familiarity with build tools like Maven and Gradle

Soft Skills:

- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive mindset and ownership attitude
