ABOUT THE ROLE

As Product Manager for Insight, you will own the strategy and roadmap for Innefu's OSINT capabilities — spanning social media monitoring, web and dark web intelligence, geospatial correlation, and multi-source entity resolution. You'll translate the operational needs of intelligence and law enforcement analysts into technically precise product requirements, while ensuring every capability holds up to scrutiny on data provenance, legality, and evidentiary reliability. This role sits between engineering, data science, and government clients — equally comfortable in a room of senior investigators and in a sprint planning session with ML engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Own the roadmap for Insight's OSINT capabilities — social media monitoring, web/forum intelligence, dark web monitoring, geospatial correlation, and entity/link resolution.

• Benchmark against global OSINT and intelligence platforms — Maltego, SpiderFoot, Shodan, Palantir Gotham, IBM i2 — to identify gaps and differentiation.

• Define the product vision in alignment with evolving law enforcement and intelligence agency needs; prioritize by investigative impact, technical feasibility, and legal defensibility.

Technical Ownership

• Write precise PRDs, user stories, and functional specifications for OSINT collection, processing, and correlation pipelines that engineering can execute without ambiguity.

• Maintain working knowledge of web scraping, social media platform APIs (and their rate-limit/ToS constraints), dark web (Tor-based) collection methods, entity resolution and link analysis via graph databases (Neo4j, Gephi), geolocation extraction from social content, and reverse image/video verification.

• Define data source integration standards — social platforms, public records, news/media feeds, forums, marketplaces — and manage API contracts for third-party data providers.

• Evaluate and recommend third-party OSINT tools, datasets, and AI models to enhance platform capabilities.

Data & AI Product Management

• Partner with Data Science/AI teams on multi-lingual NLP (regional Indian languages and social media vernacular), sentiment and narrative analysis, misinformation/deepfake detection, and predictive pattern or network analysis.

• Define model performance benchmarks for entity extraction, language coverage, and source-reliability scoring.

• Ensure AI-driven OSINT outputs remain explainable and auditable, particularly where they may support legal or evidentiary use.

Execution & Delivery

• Run Agile/Scrum delivery in close collaboration with Engineering, QA, and DevOps; own a well-groomed backlog with clear, estimated, prioritized items.

• Define and track KPIs — source coverage, collection latency, entity resolution accuracy, false-positive rates, and system uptime.

• Manage UAT with agency clients and ensure defect resolution before production deployment.

Compliance, Security & Ethics

• Ensure OSINT collection and processing complies with agency-specific classification requirements.

• Define and enforce data provenance, minimization, and audit-trail standards for every OSINT source.

• Champion responsible-AI practices — addressing bias in inference, source-reliability grading, and clear boundaries around what qualifies as “open source.”

• Maintain RBAC, end-to-end encryption, and audit logging across the platform.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary product interface with government and law enforcement clients on OSINT workflows and requirements.

• Support Sales and Pre-Sales with RFP responses, product demonstrations, and client presentations.

• Communicate roadmap, release timelines, and product updates to senior leadership and client-side stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline (mandatory).

• MBA or Post-Graduate qualification in Technology Management or Product Management strongly preferred.

Experience

• 8+ years of total experience, including 3+ years in a product management role for a data-intensive or AI-driven product.

• Prior experience with OSINT, intelligence, law enforcement, or government products highly desirable.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-source data products from ideation to deployment.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with OSINT tools and frameworks — Maltego, SpiderFoot, Shodan, or equivalent.

• Understanding of web scraping, social media APIs, and dark web collection methods.

• Working knowledge of graph databases (Neo4j, Gephi) for network and link analysis.

• Familiarity with NLP/ML concepts, particularly multi-lingual text analysis and sentiment/narrative detection.

• Working knowledge of geospatial tools (GIS, Mapbox, Leaflet).

• Comfort with SQL/NoSQL databases, REST APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Product Management Skills

• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies — Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.

• Strong ability to write detailed PRDs, BRDs, and user stories.

• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews.

• Ability to create and present product roadmaps (ProductBoard, or PowerPoint).

Soft Skills

• Exceptional communication skills — able to present complex technical concepts to non-technical government officials.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with data-driven decision-making.

• High integrity and discretion handling classified and sensitive information.

• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting.

• Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution capabilities.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Exposure to cybersecurity domains — threat intelligence, dark web monitoring, or digital forensics.

• Knowledge of Indian law enforcement workflows — investigation procedures, evidence chain of custody.

• Familiarity with biometric standards and identity verification frameworks.

• Security clearance, or willingness to undergo background verification at a government-mandated level.
