We are looking for a Junior Store Assistant to support day-to-day store operations in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory records while ensuring proper material handling and stock accuracy. The role requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with production, purchase, and dispatch teams.
Key Responsibilities: Store Operations
- Receive incoming raw materials, packing materials, and consumables.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
- Arrange and store materials systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
- Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP or Excel.
- Update inward and outward material entries on a daily basis.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the Store In-charge.
- Assist in monthly and annual physical stock verification.
Documentation
- Maintain GRNs, delivery challans, stock registers, issue slips, and other store-related documents.
- Ensure proper filing and record-keeping of all inventory transactions.
- Prepare basic inventory and stock movement reports.
Coordination
- Coordinate with the Purchase department regarding incoming materials.
- Work closely with Production to ensure timely material availability.
- Support Dispatch and Logistics teams during material movement.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the store area.
- Follow company safety guidelines while handling materials.
- Ensure proper storage practices to prevent material damage or loss.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of store and inventory management.
- Understanding of inward, outward, GRN, and stock maintenance.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and ERP systems is preferred.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic knowledge of material handling procedures.
- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate (B.Com / B.Sc / BBA) or Diploma in any discipline.
- Freshers with good learning ability may also apply.
- Candidates with 1–3 years of experience in store, warehouse, or inventory operations will be preferred.
