Consultant Vitreo Retina Surgeon

Qualification

• MBBS

• MS / DNB Ophthalmology

• Fellowship in Vitreo-Retina

• Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration

Experience

• Fellowship-trained Vitreo-Retina Surgeon

• Candidates with experience in Medical & Surgical Retina will be preferred

---

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage medical and surgical retinal disorders

• Perform comprehensive retinal examinations and advanced diagnostic evaluations

• Perform Vitreo-Retinal surgeries including Pars Plana Vitrectomy, Retinal Detachment Surgery, Membrane Peeling, Macular Hole Surgery, Endolaser, Silicone Oil Injection & Removal, and other posterior segment procedures

• Perform Intravitreal Anti-VEGF, Steroid, and other retinal injections

• Perform retinal laser procedures including PRP, Grid, Focal, Barrage Laser, and Laser Retinopexy

• Interpret OCT, OCT-A, FFA, Fundus Photography, B-Scan, and other retinal investigations





• Manage retinal emergencies including Retinal Detachment, Vitreous Hemorrhage, Ocular Trauma, and Endophthalmitis

• Provide OPD consultations, surgical care, and post-operative follow-up

• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure NABH-compliant clinical practices

• Participate in quality improvement, teaching, research, and hospital outreach activities

• Advanced Vitreo-Retinal Microsurgical Skills

• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities

• Excellent patient counselling and communication skills
