Reporting To: VP – Digital Construction Management

Location: India (Madurai / Durgapur / Jaipur) with domestic and international travel as required

Experience Required: 10–15 years of overall experience in platform architecture, solution architecture, software systems, or enterprise technology delivery, including leadership responsibilities. Exposure to Construction, BIM, AEC, or Digital Construction workflows is desirable.

Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technology discipline. A background in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is an added advantage but not mandatory. Certifications in Cloud Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, PMP, BIM, or Digital Construction are preferred.

Role Overview

The Chief Platform Architect – Digital Construction Management (DCM) will lead the technology vision and solution architecture for Client's Digital Construction Management platform. This is a senior technology leadership role suited for an experienced platform or solution architect with strong expertise in software systems, cloud infrastructure, data architecture, and enterprise application design.

The role will be responsible for defining scalable, secure, and AI-enabled digital platforms that support construction management workflows, including planning, execution monitoring, site reporting, quality management, safety tracking, progress monitoring, and project controls.

While direct construction or BIM expertise is desirable, it is not mandatory. The role will work closely with internal domain experts to translate construction workflows into scalable technology solutions. The platform will serve owners, contractors, EPC organizations, consultants, and infrastructure developers across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Architecture Roadmap

- Define the technology vision, architecture strategy, and roadmap for the Digital Construction Management platform.
- Establish platform standards covering scalability, security, reliability, interoperability, and performance.
- Identify manual, fragmented, and high-risk construction management processes that can be digitized, automated, or enhanced through software, AI, and analytics.
- Develop platform capabilities for field-to-office visibility, schedule management, productivity tracking, issue management, documentation control, and executive dashboards.
- Align platform capabilities with the evolving needs of contractors, owners, EPC firms, consultants, and infrastructure developers.

Solution Architecture & Technology Leadership





- Define end-to-end architecture covering front-end applications, back-end services, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and security.
- Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams on system design, data modeling, performance optimization, DevOps practices, and enterprise security.
- Drive build-versus-buy decisions, technology selection, and platform governance.
- Establish technical standards that ensure maintainability, scalability, and long-term platform sustainability.
- Ensure seamless integration across BIM platforms, scheduling tools, field systems, ERP applications, project controls systems, and construction management platforms.

AI, Automation & Analytics

- Lead AI and automation initiatives focused on progress monitoring, risk detection, schedule variance analysis, quality observations, safety compliance, and reporting automation.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to integrate data from BIM models, schedules, field reports, images, IoT devices, ERP systems, and construction management applications.
- Define enterprise data architecture and analytics frameworks that convert construction data into actionable and predictive insights.

Construction & BIM Domain Alignment

- Partner with internal construction and BIM experts to translate site workflows into scalable digital solutions.
- Ensure platform features address real-world construction challenges, adoption requirements, and operational constraints.
- Help establish standardized processes for digital site management, progress validation, issue tracking, RFI management, submittal workflows, and project reporting.

Client Solutioning & Stakeholder Engagement

- Support strategic client discussions focused on construction management challenges and digital transformation opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, BIM, technology, and client success teams to position Client's Digital Construction Management platform.
- Provide architectural expertise during solution design, client presentations, and strategic engagements.

Team Leadership, Governance & Adoption

- Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams consisting of architects, software engineers, data engineers, product owners, solution consultants, and automation specialists.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across platform initiatives.




- Establish governance frameworks for implementation quality, user adoption, data integrity, reporting accuracy, security, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

Preferred Background

- 10–15 years of experience in platform architecture, solution architecture, software engineering, enterprise systems, or technology delivery.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms, databases, enterprise application architecture, APIs, microservices, front-end technologies, and back-end systems.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and driving enterprise-scale architecture initiatives.
- Exposure to construction, BIM, project controls, project management, digital twins, or AEC workflows is desirable but not mandatory.
- Hands-on coding expertise is not required; however, the candidate should be capable of guiding engineering teams and reviewing architectural decisions.
- Robust understanding of AI, automation, analytics, and modern data platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business and operational challenges into scalable technology solutions that deliver measurable outcomes and ROI.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience designing and scaling SaaS or enterprise platforms on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, cloud-native systems, and modern data platforms.
- Exposure to construction technology solutions such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Power BI, ERP systems, project controls platforms, or field reporting tools.
- Familiarity with BIM-enabled workflows, 4D/5D construction planning, digital twins, computer vision, or AI-powered project controls.
- Experience implementing technology solutions on live construction projects and driving user adoption among field and project teams.
- Previous experience working with contractors, EPC organizations, infrastructure projects, owners, or construction technology firms is highly desirable.
