Accountant
Upila Digital | Remote (with occasional travel preferring location Kerala )
Upila Digital, a Google Premier Partner performance marketing agency (in India and UAE), is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to own our end-to-end finance operations from invoicing and payroll to tax compliance and vendor management. If you thrive on accuracy, deadlines, and keeping the books airtight, this role is for you.
What You'll Own
Billing & Payments
Prepare invoices for recurring and international transactions for the Indian and UAE Entity
Process payroll and employee expense reimbursements
Manage vendor payments and credit card reconciliations
Facilitate international payments with proper bank documentation
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Manage TDS payments and quarterly challan submissions
File GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns within deadlines
Calculate personal income tax for CEO and the employees
Handle statutory registration applications and renewals
Renew ICE codes and furnish LUTs for Upila
Support annual tax audits and post closing entries
Manage UAE VAT Returns
Books & Reporting
Record daily transactions under correct accounting heads
Update finance sheets daily; consolidate monthly income/expense data
Calculate P&L; to track financial health
Conduct daily bank reconciliations
Project cash balances and forecast upcoming expenses
Platforms & Subscriptions
Add funds to Google Ads and Meta accounts
Download bills from Meta, Google, and LinkedIn
Renew subscriptions
Clear monthly GSuite dues; manage GSuite users and data migration/cleanup
Receivables & Procurement
Follow up on receivables via email, WhatsApp, and calls
Procure and distribute laptops to employees
Upload invoices/bills to designated drives
Coordinate with legal and CA advisors as needed
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter / M.Com a plus)
1 to 2 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in an agency or services business
Experience in UAE invoicing and taxation is mandatory
Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian tax compliance
Comfortable with international transactions and multi-currency invoicing
Proficiency in accounting software + Google Workspace (Sheets essential)
High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently
Must be willing and available to travel to client locations as and when required, despite the remote-first setup
Bonus: experience with digital marketing platform billing (Google Ads, Meta Ads)
Earn certifications in these skills
