Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Biomedical Engineer to manage maintenance, calibration, and safety of medical equipment in our Super Speciality Hospital. The candidate will ensure compliance with NABH (FMS) standards and statutory requirements while maintaining optimal equipment performance and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain updated inventory of all medical equipment
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules
Attend breakdown calls and ensure minimal downtime
Ensure timely calibration of critical equipment
Maintain equipment history records and documentation
Ensure compliance with NABH FMS standards
Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
Monitor AMC/CMC contracts and vendor performance
Conduct safety checks and support statutory compliance (AERB, Electrical Safety, etc.)
Train staff on safe operation of medical equipment

Education





Bachelor s Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Medical Electronics / Electronics Engineering (Diploma candidates with relevant experience may apply)

Experience

Minimum 2 5 years of hospital experience
Experience in NABH-accredited hospital preferred
Super Speciality hospital experience will be an added advantage

Required Skills

Knowledge of NABH Facility Management Safety (FMS) standards
Strong troubleshooting skills
Understanding of ICU, OT, Cath Lab, Radiology equipment
Familiarity with preventive maintenance and calibration protocols
Good documentation and reporting skills
