Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced investment skilled to join our Private Equity team with a sector focus on Financial Services (Banking, NBFCs, Insurance, Asset Management) and Fintech (Payments, Lending, Wealth Tech, Insurtech, Reg Tech, Banking Tech). The candidate will play a critical role across the deal lifecycle from origination and evaluation to execution, portfolio management, and exit.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Origination Pipeline Management

- Build and maintain a strong network with entrepreneurs, investment bankers, advisors, and industry stakeholders.

- Identify and track high-potential investment opportunities in financial services and fintech.

- Stay abreast of sector trends, regulatory developments, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.

Investment Evaluation





- Lead market research, competitive analysis, and financial modelling to assess opportunities.

- Conduct valuation analysis (Transaction trading comps, precedent transactions) and scenario planning.

- Prepare detailed investment memos and recommendations for the Investment Committee.

Program Management

- Negotiate term sheets, transaction structures, and legal documentation.

- Liaise with internal legal, compliance, and finance teams to close transactions smoothly.

- Manage relationships with external advisors, consultants, and auditors during deal execution.

Qualifications Skills

Required

- Education: MBA or CA/CFA/FRM with strong analytical background.

- Experience: 4 7 years in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, corporate development, or strategy consulting with a focus on financial services or fintech.

- Track record of deal sourcing, execution, and value creation in portfolio companies.

- Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.

Preferred

- Prior exposure to NBFCs, AMCs, or structured credit

- Experience in portfolio analysis and risk management

- Understanding of regulatory frameworks
(RBI, SEBI)
