Here are base skills we are looking for

- MCP Engineering: Hands-on experience developing remote, enterprise-grade MCP servers using SSE transport, JSON-RPC 2.0 schemas. Proficient with Python and building custom tool-calling abstractions for LLMs.
- Hands-on skills to secure API Gateway: Expertise in building and securing APIs & MCPs via Azure APIM, including advanced policy writing (validate-jwt, rewrite-uri, custom etc), OAuth 2.0, OBO token mediation, and MS Entra ID integration, hands on with security token mediation
- Related cloud Infra & DevOps: Versed in deploying HA containerized microservices on Azure Container Apps or Azure Functions,
- Good to have working knowledge of how to apply security within VNets using Terraform or Azure Dev CLI

Senior MCP & AI Integration Engineer (Azure)

Role Summary

Build and secure the integration layer that enables enterprise systems to participate in the AI/Agentic ecosystem. This role focuses on MCP, APIs, security, and Azure integration, not agent development.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop enterprise-grade MCP Servers using Python, SSE, and JSON-RPC 2.0.
- Expose enterprise APIs, applications, and business services as MCP tools consumable by Copilots and AI agents.




- Build secure API gateways using Azure API Management (APIM).
- Implement authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, OBO Flow, and JWT validation.
- Define MCP standards, governance, security controls, and productization strategy.
- Create reusable patterns for integrating enterprise systems into the Agentic AI ecosystem.
- Design scalable, cloud-native deployments using Azure Container Apps and Azure Functions.

Mandatory Skills

- Hands-on experience building MCP Servers and tool-calling frameworks.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Deep expertise in:
- Azure API Management (APIM)
- validate-jwt, rewrite-uri, custom policies
- OAuth 2.0, OIDC, OBO token mediation
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Knowledge of MCP security, authorization, and governance.
- Experience deploying containerized microservices on Azure Container Apps / Azure Functions.
- Solid understanding of API-first and integration architecture.

Good to Have

- Terraform / Azure Developer CLI (azd)
- VNet, Private Endpoint, and network security implementation
- Copilot integration experience
- Experience establishing MCP standards and platform productization.
