Role & responsibilities

Describe the scope of the position:

In this role, we are looking for an experienced SAP ECC Finance (FICO) Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Finance business processes and enterprise integrations.

The role will serve as the functional bridge between Finance stakeholders and SAP CPI integration teams, ensuring accurate financial processing, robust interface design,

and seamless integration between SAP ECC and external applications.

Describe the primary responsibilities/ accountabilities of the position:

- Lead finance and Controlling related integration requirements and design discussions.
- Define field mappings, validation rules, reconciliation requirements and interface controls.
- Support inbound and outbound interfaces for GL Posting, Procurement, reporting and legacy systems.
- Collaborate with other SAP consultants (e.g., SD, MM) to ensure seamless integration across modules.
- Develop functional specifications and technical documentation.
- Participate in SIT, UAT, cutover, production deployment and hyper-care activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with ABAP and CPI teams.
- Provide training and support to end-users.
- Support data migration activities.

EXPERIENCE: (The below are absolutely necessary)

- 10 to 12+ years SAP ECC Finance experience with supporting interface-heavy landscapes and global delivery environments.




- Minimum of 2-3 full-life cycle implementation experience as an SAP FICO expert with experience in interface build for large organizations
- Work with CPI developers on interface design and payload validation.
- Understand APIs, Web Services, IDocs, ALE and RFC concepts.
- Review integration flows and monitor interface failures.
- Support reconciliation and financial impact analysis.
- Strong knowledge in the design & development of interfaces for Finance objects.
- Solid grasp of FICO integrations with other modules (i.e. SD, MM, PP, etc.).
- Must be able to scope, review, and create functional specifications and assist the development team in writing the technical specifications for FICO FRICE (i.e. Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancement)

COMPETENCIES / ABILITIES:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in general and strong facilitation and presentation experience skills specifically
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Comfortable in defending SAP solutions with peers forming an SAP governance council
- SAP techno-functional experience and willingness to perform technical solution analysis, including ABAP debugging, would be preferred
- Very detail oriented person with superior problem solving ability
- Prefer someone who has performed in a senior role and in more than one implementation. •Seeking a “go-to” person that has the experience to solve tough problems
- Ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
- Ability to understand our business, work across business units, be a team player and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment
