We are looking for an experienced Shift Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation with 34 years of hands-on experience in an Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant. The candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation maintenance, HT & LT systems, motors, breakers, VFDs, control wiring, feedback systems, alarms, and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle shift-wise electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities in an iron ore beneficiation plant.
- Troubleshoot and maintain HT & LT electrical systems, panels, feeders, MCCs, PCCs and distribution systems.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of AC motors, electrical panels, breakers, contactors, relays and protection systems.
- Have hands-on knowledge of VFD/Drive operation, configuration, parameter setting and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot control wiring, interlocks, feedback signals, alarms and instrumentation-related issues.
- Diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
- Monitor and maintain motors, starters, MCCs, PLC/DCS-related control systems and field instruments.
- Troubleshoot digital/analog feedback, sensor signals, control circuits and alarm systems.
- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance as per plant requirements.
- Coordinate with production and other maintenance teams during equipment breakdowns and shutdown activities.
- Maintain proper records of breakdowns, maintenance activities, spare requirements and equipment performance.




- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, LOTO practices and plant safety standards.
- Support commissioning, installation and modification of electrical and instrumentation equipment when required.
- Lead and guide technicians/helpers during shift maintenance activities.
- Ensure smooth and reliable operation of electrical and instrumentation systems throughout the shift.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of HT & LT electrical systems.
- Valuable understanding of VFDs/AC Drives – configuration, parameter setting and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of control wiring, interlocks, feedback and alarm systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of motors, breakers, MCC/PCC panels, starters and protection devices.
- Basic knowledge of PLC/DCS control systems and field instrumentation.
- Ability to read and understand electrical control circuits, wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Experience working in a continuous-process industrial/plant environment is preferred.

Eligibility

- Qualification: BE/B.Tech or Diploma – Electrical & Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics & Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 3–4 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Industry: Iron Ore Beneficiation / Mineral Processing / Steel / Mining / Heavy Engineering Plant.

Candidates should be comfortable working in rotational shifts
