We are looking for a passionate, rigorous and creative Medical Research & Script Writer to develop engaging, evidence-based educational video content focused on child health and parenting. This role combines medical literature research, evidence synthesis and high-quality scriptwriting.

You will work closely with our pediatrician and creative team to transform complex medical information into clear, practical, parent-friendly and scientifically accurate content. Your work will directly shape the voice of PaedsCare and help parents make better-informed decisions about their childrens health.

Core outcome: Create a referenced master research brief first, then convert the approved evidence into a compelling educational script.

Key Responsibilities

A. Medical Research & Evidence Synthesis

- Conduct structured research on pediatric and parenting topics using authoritative sources such as PubMed, Cochrane Library, WHO, AAP, CDC, NICE, national guidelines and peer-reviewed journals.
- Review clinical guidelines, systematic reviews, consensus statements and relevant primary studies; identify the most current and applicable recommendations.
- Assess the quality, relevance and limitations of evidence instead of simply collecting information from online sources.
- Prepare a clear master research brief for each topic, including key findings, practical recommendations, important statistics, areas of uncertainty and complete source references.
- Compare differing recommendations across guidelines and flag conflicts, weak evidence or claims requiring pediatrician review.
- Fact-check every medical statement and maintain a transparent source trail for internal review and future updates.
- Stay updated with important changes in international and Indian pediatric guidance and recommend content revisions when evidence changes.

B. Scriptwriting & Science Communication

- Write engaging scripts for long-form educational videos, short videos, explainers and structured learning modules focused on child health and parenting.
- Translate complex medical information into simple, reassuring and parent-friendly language without losing scientific accuracy or clinical nuance.
- Convert clinical recommendations into clear, safe and practical advice, including appropriate red flags and guidance on when parents should seek medical care.
- Develop robust hooks, storytelling approaches, examples, transitions and script structures that improve comprehension, audience engagement and retention.
- Maintain a logical flow from problem and context to explanation, practical action points and conclusion.
- Write in a tone that is trustworthy, empathetic, non-judgmental and consistent with the PaedsCare brand voice.
- Avoid fear-based, sensational, absolute or misleading medical claims.

C. Collaboration, Revision & Production Support





- Collaborate closely with the pediatrician for medical review and incorporate clinical feedback accurately.
- Revise research briefs and scripts based on medical, editorial and creative feedback.
- Work with designers, animators and video editors to translate scripts into effective visual sequences, on-screen text and supporting graphics.
- Provide visual cues, examples, suggested demonstrations and source notes where these improve production quality.
- Maintain consistency in terminology, formatting, tone and evidence standards across all PaedsCare educational content.
- Manage multiple topics independently, maintain version control and consistently meet agreed deadlines.

Required Skills

- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Hindi.
- Exceptional educational scriptwriting, storytelling and audience-retention skills.
- Strong medical literature search, critical reading and evidence-synthesis skills.
- Ability to interpret research papers, clinical guidelines, systematic reviews and medical literature.
- Ability to distinguish authoritative medical evidence from low-quality, promotional or opinion-based sources.
- Ability to simplify complex medical concepts for parents with no medical background while preserving accuracy.
- Excellent script structuring, logical flow, editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong attention to detail, especially for medical claims, numbers, dosages, age groups and safety advice.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with doctors and creative teams, accept constructive feedback and revise efficiently.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and consistently meet deadlines.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of professional writing experience, with substantial experience in educational, healthcare, science or evidence-based content.
- Demonstrated experience writing educational video scripts and understanding YouTube-style audience engagement and retention.
- Hands-on experience using medical databases, guideline repositories and credible scientific sources for research.
- Ability to convert research papers, clinical guidelines and medical literature into both a structured research brief and an engaging educational script.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted research and writing tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexitywhile independently verifying all medical claims against authoritative sources.
- A portfolio containing relevant writing and script samples.

Preferred Background





- Education or professional experience in medicine, healthcare, life sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, public health, psychology, nutrition, science communication or medical writing.
- Prior experience creating pediatric, parenting, patient-education or public-health content.
- Familiarity with Indian healthcare contexts and the communication needs of Indian parents.

Shortlisting Process

Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical assignment consisting of two connected parts:

1. Prepare a concise, referenced research brief on a pediatric topic using authoritative medical sources.

2. Convert the research brief into a 23 minute parent-facing educational video script.
