Role & responsibilities :

We are hiring Design Engineers with hands-on experience in Powertrain Product Development for an exciting opportunity in the automotive domain.

Location: Chennai
Experience: 2 - 4 Years

Notice Period : Immediate to 30 Days

Skills: Stackup Analysis - CATIA V5 or V6

Qualification: •BE/ME in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 2 to 4 Years of experience in powertrain (Transmission or Driveline or Engine or Exhaust or Suspension or Fuel and Cooling)
•Apply knowledge of casting, sheet metal, and machining commodity to design parts and systems in Catia.
•Must have CAD skills on Catia V5 or 3DX environment.

Experience with Teamcenter PLM software.
•Candidate should have effective communication skills both written and verbal.
•Experience in Microsoft office tools
•Good exposure to casting, sheet metal, and machining commodity.

Preferred candidate profile : Design & development of powertrain commodities. (Transmission, Driveline, Engine, Exhaust, Suspension, Fuel and Cooling).




Candidate should have hands-on experience in 3D Model and Drawing creation as per Engineering Change requests. Drawing Prints checking as per Ford Drafting Standards
Conduct VSA/Stack up analysis to verify component and system compatibility and ensure robust designs.
Geometric compatibility studies encompass static and dynamic checks, clearances, variations, positional correctness, and interface completeness within Teamcenter/Vismockup/CATIA V5/3DX
Proficient with GDT and Drawing standards.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and drive them to completion, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to problem-solving efforts, and share knowledge with colleagues.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and expanding your knowledge of powertrain technologies, including emerging areas like battery pack design and packaging.
Contribute to creative solutions for challenging powertrain development tasks.
