Role & responsibilities:

- Architect, design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js.
- Own and evolve scalable, fault-tolerant server-side architectures.
- Lead AWS infrastructure design and management, including EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, load balancing, and auto-scaling.
- Define and own database schema design, migrations, indexing, and query optimization.
- Design efficient algorithms and complex business logic for backend processes.
- Architect secure authentication, authorization, and tokenization mechanisms.
- Drive server stability, uptime SLAs, and performance optimization at scale.
- Establish and enforce security best practices; conduct threat modeling to protect systems from vulnerabilities and attacks.
- Lead integration of third-party APIs, external services, and payment gateways.
- Set up and own monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across systems.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering technical growth within the team.
- Lead code reviews and define development standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams as a technical lead for seamless system integration.
- Own troubleshooting and root-cause resolution for backend and infrastructure issues, including production incidents.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and long-term architecture decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Node.js backend development.
- Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and server-side programming.
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, load balancing, and auto-scaling.




- Deep understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), advanced SQL, and query optimization.
- Proven experience with database migration and schema management at scale.
- Strong knowledge of authentication and tokenization (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
- Proven track record of building secure and scalable RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of server scaling, load balancing, high availability, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and branching workflows.
- Strong familiarity with Linux server environments and administration.
- Deep understanding of backend security principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.

Preferred / Additional Skills:

- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with message queues and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes / ECS).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
- Experience with caching strategies (Redis, CDN) and API gateways.
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration) and test-driven development.
- Prior experience building and scaling SaaS or product-based platforms.
- Experience handling high-traffic, high-scale applications.
- Exposure to cloud cost optimization and capacity planning.
- Prior technical lead or team lead experience.
