Job Description Interior Designer

About the Role

Lagom Atelier is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to lead the design and execution of premium residential, commercial, and hospitality interior projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of space planning, materials, furniture, lighting, and construction detailing. This role requires ownership of projects from concept development through execution while collaborating with clients, architects, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional design experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and execution of residential, commercial, hospitality, and luxury interior projects from concept to completion.
- Develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling interior design concepts aligned with the brand vision and client requirements.
- Prepare concept presentations, mood boards, material palettes, furniture layouts, and design documentation.
- Create detailed space plans, technical drawings, working drawings, construction details, and specifications.
- Produce high-quality 3D models, renderings, walkthroughs, and visual presentations for client approvals.
- Collaborate closely with founders, clients, architects, consultants, contractors, craftsmen, vendors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Select furniture, lighting, finishes, fabrics, accessories, artwork, and dcor that align with project aesthetics and budgets.




- Coordinate with procurement and sourcing teams to ensure timely material selection and vendor execution.
- Conduct site visits, monitor project progress, resolve design issues, and ensure execution aligns with approved designs.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
- Research emerging interior design trends, sustainable materials, creative products, and evolving client preferences.
- Support bespoke furniture design and custom interior solutions for client-specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, building regulations, safety requirements, and project specifications.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in premium residential, hospitality, retail, or commercial projects.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating completed interior projects from concept through execution.
- Experience working with luxury, premium, or contemporary interior design firms is preferred.

- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent conceptualization, sketching, visualization, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Ability to balance creativity, functionality, budgets, and execution feasibility.
- Strong vendor management and on-site coordination skills.
- Exceptional communication, client presentation, and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
