- Own Incoming Quality Control (IQC): inspection and acceptance of raw materials, components, and vendor-supplied parts against specification.
- Own In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): monitor and control quality at each production stage, ensuring adherence to control plans and SOPs.
- Own Outgoing Quality / Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI): verify finished goods meet specifications before dispatch to customers.
- Maintain quality documentation and QMS: control plans, SOPs, inspection reports, PPAP documentation, and ISO 9001 records.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action (CAPA) using tools such as 8D, FMEA, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
- Plan and conduct vendor/supplier quality audits; track and rate supplier performance.
- Oversee calibration of gauges, dies, jigs,
fixtures, and testing/measuring equipment; maintain calibration records.
- Coordinate with Third-Party Inspection agencies and customers on inspection, certification, and audit requirements.
- Investigate and resolve customer quality complaints; drive closure of non-conformance reports.
- Train, mentor, and supervise quality engineers, inspectors, and shop-floor personnel on quality standards and tools.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Purchase to align quality requirements across recent and ongoing projects.
