About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead the Finance, Accounting, Taxation, and Regulatory Compliance functions of our Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) business. The ideal candidate should possess solid expertise in AIF accounting, fund operations, taxation, investor reporting, financial controls, and SEBI regulations, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the AIF industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead AIF fund closing activities, including scheme closure, investor exits, final NAV computation, distribution accounting, and fund liquidation processes.
- Manage investor redemption, drawdown, capital call, distribution, and investor capital account reconciliation activities.
- Perform and review NAV calculations, including management fee, carried interest, performance fee, commission structure, expense allocation, accruals, and waterfall calculations.
- Handle investor taxation matters, including pass-through taxation, TDS computation, capital gains reporting, tax certificates, and resolution of investor tax-related queries.
- Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of investor transactions, redemptions, transfers, and distributions.
- Coordinate with custodians, trustees, fund administrators,



auditors, and bankers for fund accounting and closure-related activities.
- Review portfolio valuation and ensure timely NAV finalization and investor reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SEBI AIF Regulations, Income Tax, GST, and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage direct and indirect taxation, including TDS, GST, tax assessments, and statutory filings.
- Support audits, regulatory reporting, and financial statement preparation for AIF schemes.

Qualification

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
- Additional certifications related to AIF, Fund Management, or Financial Markets will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 5 -7 years of Hands-on exposure to AIF fund closing, investor redemptions, NAV computation, management fee calculations, carried interest/waterfall calculations, investor taxation, capital distributions, and resolution of investor tax queries is mandatory.
