About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant with hands-on experience in US Accounting and General Accounting Operations. The ideal candidate should have expertise in General Ledger Accounting, Journal Entries, Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Month-End Close, Financial Reporting Support, and Day-to-Day Accounting Operations, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for US-based clients/entities.
- Prepare and post Journal Entries, Accruals, Prepayments, and Accounting Adjustments.
- Perform General Ledger, Bank, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Support Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Close activities.
- Review accounting transactions and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain supporting schedules for financial reporting and audit requirements.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Support Fixed Asset Accounting and related reconciliations where applicable.
- Support Intercompany Accounting and reconciliations where applicable.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.




- Maintain complete documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

Key Software

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

- NetSuite
- QuickBooks
- Xero
- Sage
- SAP
- Oracle
- BlackLine

Experience with other accounting or ERP systems will also be considered.

Qualifications & Skills

- Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Chartered Accountants or candidates pursuing/progressing toward CA will be preferred.
- 38 years of experience in General Accounting, Staff Accounting, US Accounting, or Finance Operations.
- Experience supporting US accounting processes or US-based clients preferred.
- Robust understanding of financial accounting principles and month-end close activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
