Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Security Operations Engineer to manage daily vulnerability scanning, triage, and patch tracking across our AWS and Azure infrastructure. In this operational role, you will perform routine vulnerability assessments, audit container images (ECS/AKS), validate OS/application patches, and assist in identifying configuration drift. You will work closely with sysadmins and cloud engineers to verify fixes, manage exception tickets, and ensure infrastructure remains compliant with internal security standards

Skill set Required:

Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT operations or security engineering, with at least 2+ years executing vulnerability scanning and remediation in AWS and Azure environments.

- Vulnerability Scanning & Triage: Practical experience operating vulnerability tools (Qualys, Tenable, AWS Inspector, Microsoft Defender for Cloud) and conducting initial CVE vulnerability triage.
- Container Security Execution: Experience running container image

scans (AWS ECR, Azure ACR) for ECS and AKS workloads and validating base image updates.

- Patch & Remediation Tracking: Working knowledge of system patching tools, OS lifecycle management (Linux/Windows), and managing remediation tickets in Jira/ServiceNow.
- Identity & Access Basics: Practical understanding of user permissions and configuration auditing in Okta, Entra ID, and AWS

IAM.

- Scripting: Working proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to query APIs, extract vulnerability logs,



and format operational reporting.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Azure Security Engineer (AZ 500), AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or CEH.
- Technologies Required:

- Vulnerability & Scanning Tools: AWS Inspector, AWS Security Hub,

Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Qualys / Tenable, Datadog.

- Cloud & Containers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure,

AWS ECS, Azure AKS, Docker, ECR/ACR.

- Identity Tools: Okta, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), AWS IAM.
- Scripting & Ticketing: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Jira, ServiceNow.

Verbal / Written Skills Required:

Should possess good Verbal and Written communication skills

Teamwork / Adaptability Requirements:

- Strong attention to detail when validating patch execution and filtering
- false positives.
- Valuable organizational skills to track multiple remediation tickets
- simultaneously through to resolution.
- Strong collaborative attitude when working alongside sysadmins and
- cloud team members.
- Proactive learner eager to expand knowledge in cloud security and

vulnerability engineering.

- Capability to work effectively across distributed multi-time-zone teams.
- Shift Work / Travel Required:

General Shift with work-from-office requirements.

- Off-hours/weekend support during planned patching cycles or critical emergency vulnerability updates.

Education Required:

Bachelors Degree in IT or equivalent.
