Happiest Minds is looking for a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager / Technical Program Manager with robust expertise in Databricks, Data Engineering, Program Management, and Engineering Delivery. The ideal candidate should have led large-scale data platform programs, managed cross-functional engineering teams, and successfully delivered enterprise data transformation initiatives on cloud platforms.

This role requires a blend of technical depth, delivery leadership, stakeholder management, governance, and people leadership to drive strategic programs across global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Program & Delivery Leadership:

- Own end-to-end delivery of Databricks and Data Engineering programs.
- Define program roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and release plans.
- Drive execution across multiple engineering teams and workstreams.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Establish governance frameworks, delivery metrics, and executive reporting.

Technical Program Management:

- Partner with Architects, Engineering Managers, and Product teams to drive successful delivery.
- Translate business requirements into executable technical plans.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical discussions, and planning sessions.
- Manage risks, dependencies, escalations, and release readiness.
- Ensure adoption of engineering best practices and delivery excellence.





Data Engineering & Databricks Leadership:

- Lead enterprise-scale Data Engineering programs built on Databricks.
- Oversee implementation of:
- Databricks Workflows
- Delta Lake
- Data Lakes & Lakehouse Architecture
- Data Pipelines
- Batch & Streaming Solutions
- Data Governance Frameworks

- Drive optimization, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

Stakeholder Management:

- Collaborate with Business, Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Customer teams.
- Communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.
- Manage customer expectations and drive executive-level discussions.
- Influence decisions across teams without direct authority.

Team & Vendor Management:

- Lead distributed and offshore engineering teams.
- Manage vendors and external delivery partners.
- Drive accountability, productivity, and engineering excellence.
- Mentor Engineering Managers, Leads, and Delivery Teams.

- Experience leading globally distributed teams and vendor ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud-native data platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications will be an added advantage.
