We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Service Provider (SP) core networking, large-scale backbone design, and modern SDN/automation-driven architectures. The role demands strong hands-on experience with routing, MPLS, traffic engineering, high availability, and the ability to operate in mission-critical, carrier-grade environments.

This position requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, vendors, and leadership teams to design, operate, and evolve high-performance networks.

- Configure and optimize NSX components, including logical switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Resolve complex issues related to network virtualization, including performance, connectivity, and security problems.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Monitor and manage the NSX setting to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Implement and manage policies for network segmentation, micro segmentation, and traffic management.
- Design and implement robust security measures within the NSX environment, including firewall rules, VPNs, and IDS/IPS configurations.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
- Lead the design and architecture of advanced network virtualization solutions using VMware NSX.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network virtualization architectures, including diagrams and configurations.
- Oversee the deployment of NSX environments, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities





- Deployment and Configuration:
- Install, configure, and maintain VMware NSX clusters.
- Design and implement network virtualization solutions using NSX.
- Integrate NSX with existing infrastructure and other VMware products.

- Management and Monitoring:

- Monitor and manage NSX environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform regular system audits and generate performance reports.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

- Troubleshooting and Support:

- Diagnose and resolve issues related to NSX deployments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and end-users.
- Work with VMware and Dell EMC support for complex issue resolution.

- Security and Compliance:

- Ensure the security of the virtualized environment by implementing best practices and security policies.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

- Documentation and Training:

- Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.

Core Technical Skills

Routing & Control Plane

- Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and route redistribution

MPLS & Segment Routing

- Deep understanding of MPLS L2/L3 VPNs, Traffic Engineering, and SR-MPLS.

QoS & Traffic Management

- Implementing QoS policies for large-scale service provider networks.





IPv4 / IPv6 Architecture

- Dual-stack deployments and IPv6 transition strategies

Network Resiliency & High Availability

- Fast Reroute (FRR), Graceful Restart (GR), Non-Stop Routing (NSR) & and redundancy mechanisms

Core Hardware Expertise

- Hands-on experience with:
- Nokia 7750 SR Series
- Cisco ASR 9000
- Cisco NCS Series
- High-capacity core and aggregation switches

Automation & SDN

- Familiarity with Netconf/YANG, Ansible, Python scripting, Terraform and controller-based architectures.

Security in Service Provider Networks

- Control-plane protection, DDoS mitigation, and secure BGP practices.

Service Provider Experience

Large-Scale Network Design:

- Designing and operating Tier-1/Tier-2 ISP backbones.

Carrier-Grade NAT & Broadband Services:

- CGNAT, PPPoE, DHCP, and subscriber management.

Peering & Interconnects:

- Managing IX connectivity, transit agreements, and BGP communities.

Traffic Engineering & Capacity Planning:

- Forecasting growth and optimizing backbone utilization.

Network Migration & Upgrades:

- Experience with in-service software upgrades (ISSU) and hardware refreshes.

Tools & Platforms

- Nokia SR OS CLI , Cisco IOS-XR & Cisco IOS-XE

Soft Skills & Leadership Attributes

- Strong troubleshooting skills under high-pressure situations
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
