Job Summary

The Senior Landscape Architect is responsible for leading the planning, design, and delivery of landscape architecture projects across urban development, public realm, infrastructure, institutional, commercial, residential, and environmental sectors. The role involves managing multidisciplinary coordination, developing creative and sustainable landscape solutions, overseeing project delivery, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with client requirements, applicable standards, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Technical Leadership

- Lead the conceptualization, planning, and detailed design of landscape architecture projects.
- Prepare and review landscape master plans, conceptual designs, schematic designs, detailed design drawings, planting plans, hardscape layouts, and construction documentation.
- Integrate sustainable, resilient, and climate-responsive design principles into landscape projects.
- Develop site-specific design solutions considering ecology, topography, hydrology, accessibility, and user needs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and local development regulations.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and design reports.

Project Management

- Lead multiple landscape architecture projects from inception through construction support.
- Prepare project schedules, work plans, resource allocation, and cost estimates.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, quality, and deliverables.
- Identify project risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Ensure timely submission of project deliverables.

Multidisciplinary Coordination

- Coordinate with urban planners, architects, civil engineers, transportation planners, environmental specialists, irrigation designers, lighting consultants, and other stakeholders.




- Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and technical coordination meetings.
- Resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless integration across disciplines.

Construction Support

- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material samples.
- Conduct site inspections during construction.
- Monitor landscape implementation for compliance with design intent and specifications.
- Assist in resolving construction-related technical issues.
- Support project commissioning and final handover.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

- Present design concepts and technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and public consultations.
- Respond to client comments and incorporate approved revisions.

Team Leadership

- Mentor and supervise landscape architects, designers, and junior staff.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance.
- Promote quality assurance and continuous professional development within the team.

Business Development

- Support proposal preparation, technical presentations, and bid submissions.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management.
- Identify opportunities for new landscape architecture assignments.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture (mandatory).
- Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Environmental Planning, or related field (preferred).
- Professional registration/licensure with a recognized landscape architecture body is desirable.

Experience

- 12+years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
- Proven experience leading large-scale landscape and public realm projects.
- Experience in multidisciplinary consultancy environments is preferred.
- Experience with urban development, infrastructure, smart city, parks, waterfronts, campuses, or institutional projects is desirable.
- International project experience is an advantage.
