About the Opportunity
Our client is one of India's leading real estate organizations with a significant portfolio of premium commercial office spaces and iconic retail destinations across the country. The organization is looking for a Deputy Manager/ Senior Manager -HR Business Partner to partner closely with business leadership and drive strategic people initiatives for its Commercial & Retail business.
This is a highly visible business-facing role requiring solid stakeholder management, business acumen, and the ability to translate business priorities into impactful people strategies.
Role Summary
The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, driving workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent management, performance management, and culture initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with functional heads to build high-performing teams while ensuring alignment between business goals and people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
A) Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Partner with Business Heads and Functional Leaders to understand business priorities and align HR strategies accordingly.
- Act as a trusted advisor on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and people-related decisions.
- Drive workforce planning and organizational design initiatives aligned with business growth.
- Support business transformation and organizational restructuring initiatives.
B) Performance Management
- Lead the end-to-end performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and calibration discussions.
- Coach managers on performance improvement, feedback conversations, and capability development.
- Ensure consistency and fairness across performance evaluation processes.
C) Employee Engagement & Culture
- Design and execute employee engagement initiatives to strengthen organizational culture.
- Drive employee connect sessions, leadership interactions, recognition programs, and engagement surveys.
- Develop and implement retention initiatives to improve employee experience.
D) Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters.
- Resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Coach business leaders on employee relations and people management practices.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and ethical standards.
E) Organization Development
- Support change management initiatives arising from business expansion, restructuring, or transformation.
- Facilitate organizational effectiveness projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive adoption of HR policies, frameworks, and best practices.
F) HR Analytics & Business Insights
- Monitor HR metrics including headcount, attrition, engagement, productivity, and workforce trends.
- Generate actionable insights through HR dashboards and analytics.
- Present HR reports and recommendations to business leadership.
G) Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Support internal audits and HR governance initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and ethical conduct.
Preferred candidate profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- 5 to 8 years of progressive HR experience with significant exposure to HR Business Partnering.
- Experience partnering directly with Business Heads and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of workforce planning, organizational development, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Proven experience in handling employee relations and change management initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with exposure to HR metrics and dashboards.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, business-driven environment.
