Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer – Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems, machines, and utilities in the plant. The role includes breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical and control systems, and supporting automation-related activities to improve machine uptime, reliability, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance

- Attend and resolve electrical breakdowns in production machines and utilities.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime through quick fault diagnosis and rectification.
- Maintain and repair electrical control panels, MCCs, drives, and distribution systems.
- Monitor and ensure proper functioning of all plant electrical systems.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

- Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all machines and equipment.
- Maintain PM checklists and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Identify potential failures and take corrective actions in advance.
- Support condition monitoring and predictive maintenance activities.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

- Diagnose faults in motors, drives, sensors, relays, contactors, and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot PLC-based machine electrical issues (basic understanding required).
- Repair and replace faulty electrical components efficiently.
- Ensure proper restoration of machines after breakdown.





Instrumentation & Controls

- Maintain and troubleshoot field instruments such as sensors, encoders, limit switches, proximity switches, and temperature controllers.
- Ensure proper calibration and functioning of instruments.
- Verify safety interlocks and machine protection systems.

Utility Maintenance

- Maintain plant utilities such as compressors, DG sets, transformers, and power distribution systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply and productive energy usage.

Projects & Improvements

- Support machine modification and electrical improvement projects.
- Participate in energy-saving initiatives and cost reduction activities.
- Contribute to Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement programs.
- Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and relocation.

Documentation

- Maintain electrical maintenance records and breakdown reports.
- Update machine history cards and maintenance logs.
- Ensure proper documentation of electrical drawings and modifications.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and consumption records.

Safety & Compliance

- Follow all electrical safety standards and company safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Support implementation of TPM, 5S, and safety initiatives.




- Maintain safe working practices during maintenance activities

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Strong practical experience candidates will be preferred

Experience

- 7–10 years in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering industry preferred.
