Role & Responsibilities
This position would include the mentioned set of responsibilities but not limited to:
- Ensure end-to-end procurement governance and compliance with Procurement Policy, RBI guidelines, GFR, CVC guidelines, internal approval matrix (DAP/DOA), and committee governance requirements.
- Maintain complete and audit-ready records of all procurement activities to ensure transparency, traceability, and regulatory compliance. (act as SPOC for all Audit queries)
- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives through competitive bidding, market intelligence, supplier evaluation, and commercial negotiations to deliver cost optimizationand value creation.
- Manage contract compliance and oversee Bank Guarantee (BG) and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) administration, ensuring timely issuance, monitoring, renewals, and refunds with zero deviations.
- Lead end-to-end procurement operations from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO), contract finalization, execution, and closure within agreed timelines.
- Monitor BG validity, contract obligations, and procurement milestones to ensure operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Establish and strengthen vendor governance frameworks, including vendor onboarding, due diligence, performance evaluation, and supplier relationship management.
- Monitor vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure adherence to contractual commitments and performance standards.
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including review, execution,
compliance monitoring, renewals, amendments, and timely closure of critical contracts.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Business, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations to support organizational objectives and enhance procurement effectiveness.
- Drive procurement process improvements, digitization initiatives, and adoption of GeM/e-procurement platforms to improve efficiency, transparency, and governance.
- Develop and maintain procurement MIS, dashboards, and analytics for tracking compliance, sourcing outcomes, vendor performance, contracts, and savings realization.
- Lead initiatives to improve procurement maturity, stakeholder experience, operational excellence, and continuous process enhancement.
- Experience of GeM Portal and Public Procurement will be added advantage.
- SPOC to maintain record of all templet design and framework and procurement policy and keep track of all approvals and versions.
Applicants should possess the following attributes:
- Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, NBFC, or regulated industries preferred.
- Experience in handling Procurement to Pay or Source to Pay model
- Experience in vendor due diligence, risk assessment, and performance monitoring.
- Experience in MIS preparation, and audit coordination.
- Excellent in communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
