Role & responsibilities :
- Prepare the Cath Lab before procedures.
- Verify patient identity, consent, investigations, and procedure details.
- Prepare patients for angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and other cardiac procedures.
- Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Monitor ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and vital signs during procedures.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Assist in handling emergency situations, including cardiac arrest.
- Prepare and maintain catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and other Cath Lab equipment.
- Ensure accurate nursing documentation and procedure records.
- Follow infection prevention and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Maintain stock of consumables and report shortages.
