Designation: Senior QA Engineer

Senior Level | 5+ Years Experience | Quality Assurance | FinTech Crypto C Fiat

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance initiatives across our crypto and

fiat fintech platform. You will own end-to-end testing strategy, mentor junior QA members, and ensure that

our payment rails, blockchain integrations, and regulatory-compliant workflows meet the highest standards of

reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities

Design and own comprehensive test strategies for crypto (BTC, ETH, stablecoins) and fiat payment flows including ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, and UPI.

Lead functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing across web and mobile platforms.

Build and maintain robust automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar) and CI/CD pipeline integrations (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Conduct thorough API testing of REST and GraphQL services including wallet, transaction, KYC/AML, and compliance endpoints.

Drive risk-based testing for high-value financial transactions, smart contract interactions, and onchain/off-chain reconciliation.

Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and security teams during sprint cycles and release planning.

Perform root cause analysis for critical production defects and define preventive measures.

Mentor and upskill junior QA engineers through code reviews, pair testing sessions, and knowledge sharing.

Define and report on QA KPIs: defect escape rate, test coverage, cycle time,



and mean time to detect (MTTD).

Ensure compliance with SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and relevant financial regulations through audit-ready test documentation.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of QA experience with at least 2 years in a fintech, banking, or payments domain.

Hands-on expertise with test automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or equivalent.

Strong experience in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.

Proficiency in SQL for backend data validation across transactional databases.

Working knowledge of blockchain fundamentals wallets, gas fees, transaction finality, block explorers.

Experience testing crypto exchange, wallet, or DeFi protocol interfaces is a strong plus.

Familiarity with performancetesting tools likeJMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Understanding of security testing concepts: OWASP Top 10, penetration testing basics.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, or Zephyr.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have

ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification.

Experience with chaos engineering and fault injection testing.

Knowledge of smart contract testing (Hardhat, Foundry, or Brownie).

Exposure to AI-assisted test generation tools.
